The project aims to develop a prototype of a smart conveyor roller. Electronic equipment built into the roller will enable continuous and automatic monitoring of the roller’s parameters, prediction of the condition of its structural components, and determination of the right moment for preventive roller replacement.
The developed solution will make it possible to diagnose conveyor roller failures in a timely manner and to determine the frequency of preventive maintenance. This will allow companies operating conveyors to significantly reduce the costs of monitoring roller condition, as well as potential losses caused by roller failures.
The project will contribute to the development of a new high value-added product, create opportunities for researchers to take part in the company’s research and experimental development activities, and promote intellectual property and early pilot production of the newly developed product. Using innovative and modern technologies, a high value-added, cost-effective and environmentally friendly product will be created.
